[IBL] The Perfect Game That Wasn't

Bauer toed the rubber in the bottom of the 9th.  He had faced twenty four batters thus far, none had reached base.  Only three more to go to etch his place in history. Marsh strikes out swinging. Taylor pinch hits. Soft grounder to third. McGuire hits a hard grounder to short for the twenty seventh out.
One problem.
The electric scoreboard in Tropicana read 0-0.
The game had to continue.
Bottom of the tenth, Story is the first runner to reach on four balls. He is then promptly caught stealing while spiking Segura.
Bottom of the eleventh, Bauer has run his race.  On comes the veteran righthander, Ottavino. 
Gallo enters the batters box.  Two Italian-Americans squaring off.  Gallo produced the fireworks and a dejected Bauer could only watch on as the ball sailed over the fence, his moment lost forever.
