With no pitching depth, 3 3B, 2 RF, weak at 1B, SS, C, LF, SDQ is in
rebuild mode. This means everyone is available!

SDQ Current 2023:
C: MIA Fortes, DET Barnhart, SD Alfaro
1B: BOS Hosmer
2B: SF Estrada, DET Schoop
SS: MIA Rojas
3B: HOU Bregman, COL McMahon, BAL Urias
LF: TOR Tapia
CF: PIT Reynolds
RF: NYN Marte, MIL Renfroe
DH: whomever

SP: SF Rodon, CHA Lynn, SF Junis, CLE Civale, ATL Odorizzi, LAA Lorenzen,
COL Kuhl (7 listed, most can only go 1/2 a season)
RP: PHI Knebel, LAN Vesia, CLE Sandlin, COL Lamet, DET Cisnero, WAS Ramirez

I've looked to value / what it would take for each. Players who are full
time (position/SP) I consider of more value than a draft pick, mainly as a
draft pick
is a guess. WAR I include as a measure, but WAR doesn't really translate
well into a players IBL value ... for example, COL McMahon has a 3.1 WAR,
NYN Edwin Diaz a 3.0 WAR ... who
would you rather have?

Tier 0 (Rutschman +, maybe Witt +, multiple early #1's +)

SF Rodon (29), LHSP. 2nd highest WAR of all pitchers. 11.98 k/9, 2.61
BB/9, 0.61 HR/9, 6.62 H/9 (basically, current card with fewer DF)
HOU Bregman (28), RH 3B. 5.5 WAR (tied for 4th best of all 3B).
.259/.366/.454 38 2B, 23 HR. Considered an MVP candidate in 2018/2019,
finally healthy, .894 OPS post AS break.
PIT Reynolds (27), BH CF. 2.9 WAR (8th best CF). .262/.345/.461 27 HR.
Great 2021, only some guys named Judge and Julio Rodriguez had more HR as a
CF.

Tier 1 (#1 value-ish)
NYN Marte (34), RH RF. 3.0 WAR (8th best RF). .292/.347/.468, some power
(16 HR) and speed
SF Estrada (26), RH 2B/SS. 2.7 WAR. .260/.322/.402, 14 HR, 21 SB. First
full season. Rated here as 20/20 middle infielder potential and still
young.
CLE Sandlin (25), RH RP. 8.39 k/9, 4.9 k/9, 0.4 hr/9, .176 BAA. shut down
RH RP with no/very few DF.
LAN Vesia (26), LH RP. 13 k/9, 4 bb/9, 0.33 hr/9, 6.13 H/9, .187 BAA.
shut down LH RP with no DF.

Tier 2 (mid - high #2)
MIL Renfroe (30), RH RF. 2.5 WAR (9th best RF). .255/.315/.492, 29 HR.
Basically the same numbers as 2021.
COL McMahon (27) LH 3B, 3.1 WAR (10th best 3B). .246/.327/.414, 20 HR
MIA Fortes (25) RH C. .230/304/.392. Good power, rated this high due to
age, power (9 HR in 240 PA)
CHA Lynn (35), RH SP. 9.17 K/9, 1.41 BB/9, 1.41 HR/9, 8.8 H/9. Slow start
to 2022 as missed most of 1st half, very strong finish (.222 BAA, 2.52 ERA)
CLE Civale (27) RH SP. 9.09 K/9, 2.04 BB/9, 1.30 HR/9, 8.63 H/9. Slow
start to 2022, strong 2nd half (.186 BAA)
BAL Means (29), LH SP. Uncarded. Tommy John, very good when healthy, will
be back in 2023.

Tier 3 (mid 3rd)
BAL Urias (28), RH 3B, 2.6 WAR, 104 wRC+ (4% better than league average).
 .248/.305/.414 16 HR
MIA Rojas (33), RH SS, .236/.283/323. Only in this tier due to above
average defense
BOS Hosmer (33), LH 1B, .268/.334/.382. Same numbers as 2021.
ATL Odorizzi (32) RH SP. 7.28 K/9, 2.96 BB/9, 1.18 HR/9, 8.97 H/9. Mid
rotation, solid SP
LAA Lorenzen (30), RH SP. 7.8 k/9, 4 bb/9, 1 HR/9, .223 BAA first season
as a SP, injured in middle of 2022, started strong, finished strong
SF Junis (30), RH SP, 7.9 k/9, 2 bb/9, 1 hr/9. Mid rotation, solid SP
PHI Knebel (30) RH RP. 8.2 k/9, 5.6 bb/9, 0.8 hr/9 .244 BAA. Career 12
9/k RP, some injury problems in 2022, decent bounce back candidate.
COL Lamet (30) RH RP ... 12.5 k/9, 5.3 bb/9 1.1 hr/9. Legit bounce back
candidate, strong once got to COL.

Tier 4 (4th round value)
TOR Tapia (28), LH LF/CF/RF, .265/.292/.380. Contact hitter / 4th OF
DET Schoop (31), RH 2B, .202/.239/.322. Typically a .270+, 20+ HR hitter.
Good bounce back candidate, strong defense
SD Alfaro (29), RH C, .246/.285/.383. 7 HR in 274 PA so very good power.
Started strong then faded. Fringe bounce back candidate
COL Kuhl (30), RH SP ... maybe the COL effect will help his card. Back of
rotation rotation SP.

Tier 5+ (5th round+ value / bucket of balls)
DET Barnhart (31), BH C, .221/.287/.267. Ok arm and defense, not much else.
CHN Schwindel (31), RH 1B, .229/.277/.358. Some power, best to wait and
pick up as a FA
WAS Ramirez (32), RH RP. Usable middle RP.
DET Cisnero (33), RH RP. BB, no HR, middle RP.
TEX Alexy (24). RH SP ... well, he's young
ARi Castellanos (24) RH SP ... Tommy John in mid 2022. Before injury, was
ok back of rotation SP. Will be cheap to keep, fringe prospect.
