PLAYOFF ROSTERS
---------------
For any team still in contention, which is most of you, please send in your
26-man
playoff roster. You will be allowed to tweak it if necessary before the
playoffs
start, but we need to make sure you can field a legal playoff roster.
For each position, you need to have at least one player who can legally
start against
LH, and one who can legally start against RH. It can be the same player of
course.
You need a legal backup at every position, but it doesn't need to be a
player who
is allowed to start. And you need at least four pitchers who can legally
start.
As a reminder, we made the following rule changes for this season only for
playoff
eligibility:
0.3.3.4 Playoff Starting Positions
The 48 start limit in section 3.3.4 is lowered to 16 games (8 MLB games).
0.3.3.5 Playoff Eligibility, Limitations, and Restrictions
* all players are eligible for the post-season
* the 150 AB+BB/BF limitations in section 3.3.5 are lowered to 50 AB+BB/BF
* the 50 AB+BB vs LH/RH limitations in section 3.3.5 are lowered to 20 AB+BB
To summarize:
- A batter may start in the playoffs if they played 8 or more games at a
position in the
2020 MLB season, had 50+ total AB+BB, and had 20+ AB+BB vs the hand of the
starting pitcher.
(Their 2020 MLB AB+BB can be found in the lower right hand corner of their
card.)
- A batter with fewer than 50 total AB+BB may only enter in the 6th inning
or later.
- A batter may pinch hit in the playoffs only if they had 20 or more AB+BB
vs the hand of
the current pitcher. If they have fewer than 20, they may only enter as a
pinch-runner or
defensive replacement.
- These restrictions do not apply if a player is the only available
defensive replacement
for an injured player.
- A pitcher may start in the playoffs, or enter a game when an extra start
would be required,
if they faced 50 or more batters as a starting pitcher. (Their 2020 MLB
batters faced are found
in the lower right hand corner of their card.)
- A pitcher with fewer than 50 total batters faced may not enter the game
until the 6th inning
or later.
- A pitcher not rated as a starter but with at least 50 total batters faced
may enter from the
5th inning on, or anytime earlier if the current pitcher has allowed 3 runs
or is fatigued.

It is week 9, and September for weather.
Active rosters remain at 26 players for the entire regular season and
postseason.
You may still pick up free agents, but they will not be eligible for the
playoffs.
Trades are no longer allowed.
Week 9 results are due Monday, August 23.
Week 10 results are due Monday, September 6.
Week 11 results are due Monday, September 20.
