Greetings from UK lockdown,

Some light reading / entertainment to (hopefully) distract from lockdown /
elections / general madness!

Some interesting facts and figures from SDQ season:

SDQ won the NC East, holding off a late season charge by SKY, winning the
opportunity to lose to SEA or NYK in the playoffs.

SDQ was slightly above middle of the pack in overall offense and pitching,
but had some standouts (good and head scratching).

On offense:
PIT Marte went 30/30 (33 HR / 32 SB) and scored 114 runs as the SDQ leadoff
hitter. Marte also had his 200th career stolen base ... All while missing
final 3 weeks of the season.

HOU Bregman and PIT Reynolds both had 100+ runs scored and 100+ RBI.

Bregman also led the league with 136 BB.

Reynolds won the IBL batting title with his .338 average.

SDQ catching tandem of CIN Barnhart and MIA Alfaro combined for 98 RBI and
27 HR ... Throw in PHI Knapp's 2 rbi gives SDQ catchers 100 RBI.

Bregman struck out 108 times (18.2%) ... He has 7 strikeouts v Rh and 11 v
LH on his card.

PHI Segura struck out 76 times, with a mere 4 strikeouts v LH on his card.

Late season call up ATL Duvall hit 10 HR in 99 AB, he had 21 hits overall.
Late season acquisition SD Renfroe had 9 hits, 7 for extra bases.

Pitching

TEX Lynn had 32 decisions and appeared in 38 games (36 starts). He also
racked up 290 strike outs, 5th best in the league.

TEX Lynn and MIL Davies allowed almost exactly the same number of hits (217
to 218) and exactly the same number of ER, though Lynn did pitch 81 more
innings

Shame we don't track blown saves, SDQ had a ton of them! SF Gott was
especially ineffective giving up 13 HR over 71 IP (1.65 HR/9). Gott has 10
DF numbers and had 0.68 HR/9 in MLB.

Cheers!
