Sorry for the lack of a newsletter last week. I was on vacation and didn't
have much time to use the computer. I'm back now and getting caught up.
It seems we had some heated trade controversy while I was away.
I'd like to take this opportunity to once again remind everyone to
be civil and treat each other respectfully. Although the league does
bring out our competitive side, remember that ultimately we are playing
for fun. There is no place for insults or personal attacks.
Trade protests, and even the threat of trade protests, cause hard feelings
and sometimes cause us to lose owners. So please, before you consider
protesting a deal, think about why you are doing it. If it's just because
you think you could have negotiated a better deal, or because someone is
valuing a player differently than you, that shouldn't be a good enough
reason.
Please discuss it with another owner or two and get other opinions before
saying anything publicly or to the trade parties involved.
