PLAYOFFS
--------
What a race in the AC West!  It came down to the final series of the season
for each team.  In week 27, the Baltimore Sand Crabs took two of three from
Monrovia, and Motor City took two of three from Portland.

After the dust settled, the Baltimore Sand Crabs emerged on top of the
division with an 89-73 record.  Congratulations are in order as it is
the franchise's first playoff appearance since 2001 when they were known
as the San Jose Canusis.

The Tri-State Traffic claimed the second Wild Card spot, with their 89-72
record putting them 1.5 games ahead of Portland and Monrovia and obviating
the need to make up their rainout game with New Jersey.

The Williamstown Thunder will host Tri-State in the Wild Card series.
#1 seed Philadelphia will then have the choice to play the Wild Card winner
or
Baltimore in the Division Series.

Minneapolis, Santa Fe, and Gettysburg claimed the division titles in the NC,
with Gettysburg earning the #1 seed with a 97-65 record and Santa Fe the
#2 seed at 91-71.

The Seattle Rainiers and Oaksterdam Bombers took the Wild Card spots, and
wasted no time in playing the series.  Oaksterdam shook off a 5-1 loss in
the first game to take the next three games, all in comeback fashion, to
advance to the Division Series.  Recap archived here:

Gettysburg may now choose to play Oaksterdam or Minneapolis in the Division
Series.  (However, Minneapolis's week 27 results have not been submitted
yet.)
