[IBL] change the way usage is calculated?

Actually, I was wondering when I could submit a rule change to go back to IP for pitcher usage, as it seemed to be a problem for my Coors-based team as the season wore on.

Since I object to all PA based pitcher usage, I object to this change.

Thanks,

Changing to real PA/BF can make in-game decisions simpler when you're running close to the cutoffs. Say your pitcher is close to 133% and you bring him in to face one batter. Under the current rules that one batter could use up 0 (HBP) or 2 (GIDP) units of usage.

It wouldn't difficult for me to add some new code to the boxscore checker to use those values to record usage. Doing this in conjunction with the BF totals in the PITCHERS block would allow us to go to a pure PA-based usage system. I could then write some code to pull actual MLB PAs (including SF/SH, HBP, etc) to use as 100% for the usage report. These changes would greatly simplify in-game calculation of usage, since every PA would count (except IBB for pitchers). The downside is that you could no longer calculate player usage directly from the actual recorded stats.

By rule a single objection would table this until it could be voted on, which means that the soonest it could be implemented is for 2017.
