[IBL] Playoffs...or not

GTY is currently in a good position to make the playoffs, but with several
holes, I'm not so sure how deep the team would get. That leaves me in a
little bit of quandary, because I want to shoot for the playoffs while
simultaneously looking toward next year, when I expect my pitching to be
better and my offense to just need a couple holes filled. Below are
players I would be willing to discuss - moving a few of them (especially
Young and Wilson) would put me in a "next year" mode, but I still feel like
GTY would be competitive this season even if I deal a couple of these guys.

I'm looking for either draft picks or long term answers at SP, RF, C, and
RP, as well as a one year (2017) option in LF if I don't deal Brantley, or
a long term LF if I deal him.

As always, I'm willing to discuss values, as your mileage may vary.

*Pitchers*

*KC Young -* An excellent card, especially if you are a big park team and
can soak up some DF rolls. 67-127-146 vL, 52-77-114 vR, hardly any singles
and doubles, 7/E defense. Looking for a mid-late third round value.

*LAA Wilson -* Another excellent card,,81-139-131 vL, 85-138-122, ~ 100 K's
vs. each side, 4/F defense, Vg/-1/2 hold. Looking for a third round pick
value.

*CLE Shaw - *Similar to KC Young, and excellent card for a big park team,
89-135-150 vL, 93-116-151 vR, decent HG guy with not many BB's, 6/C defense
with an Av hold. Looking for a mid-third round pick value.

*LAN Garcia* - Tons of K's (~ 200 vs. each side, and yet again a guy that
would be great in a big park, 69-71-165 vL, 84-84-137 vR, only 2 BB's on
his card, 5/F defense, Av hold, and can even give you an emergency spot
start. Looking for a second rounder since he's still very young with
plenty of potential.

*MIL Jeffress* - Really nice late inning relief card with 105-134-132 vL,
96-128-118 vR, only ~ 15 DF vs. each side, over 120 K's vs. each, and over
100 HG vs. each. Very good hold, and an 8 fatigue with 9/11/13/15 rest
means he can go several days in a row. Having a nice year in MLB this year
too and only 28 years old. Looking for a late 2nd round value.

*PHI Gomez* - A decent card this year with 122-130-156 vL, 135-142-158 vR,
just a few DF vR, very few walks, a Vg/-2 hold, and can pitch multiple days
in a row with a 9/13/15/17 rest rating. Having a great year in MLB with a
1.12 WHIP through 34 innings. Looking for a third round pick value.

*Hitters*

*CLE Brantley* - Hurt in MLB but is starting to progress toward playing
again. His card is awesome for this year, with 136-177-208 vL, 148-201-238
vR, Av/Av power, 8/E/-1 defense in LF (and the same if you move him to RF
late in games), ZERO K's on his card, and a steal rating of 13. Having
just turned 29, he has plenty of years left. Plug him in your lineup in
the 3 hole and watch him lead your team in RBI with tons of extra base hits
against each side. Looking for a first round value.

*MIL Rogers -* Got a cup of coffee with Pittsburgh earlier this year,
should be back up for inter-league play again. That's not why he's
valuable though. His card is 136-205-192 vL, 143-195-204 vR, Av/Av power,
8/F defense at 1b (can be a full time playoff starter), minimal HG, fewer
than 100 K's on each side, and runs on a 2 so won't clog up the
base-paths. He still has ~ 180 PA's left to use this year. I'd be looking
for a late second or early third round value.

*BAL DeAza -* Solid LF/RF card, especially vR. His card is 75-122-140 vL,
115-161-204 vR, run-jump-steal is 3-1-7, 7/F/0 range in both LF and RF, and
can bunt some too with a 48/Fr/3 rating. Looking for a fourth round value.

*TB Jennings -* A decent hitting card at 136-179-153 vL, 124-163-153 vR,
can run a bit at 1-3-5 run-jump-steal, but he's an injury risk and isn't
doing great in MLB to put it lightly. At this point, I'm sure I won't get
back the #1 investment I made in him, but it is a decent playoff card and
the guy still has good potential, not to mention that his .224 BABIP is due
for regression toward his career mark. I'll just say "make an offer", and
as long as you don't low-ball me, I'll consider it. I'd be OK with
packaging him with someone else also.

*CHA Shuck *- Recently called back up by the ChiSox. He has a decent card
with 106-177-146 vL, and 127-178-170 vR, and a 2-3-7 run-jump-steal. His
defense isn't great, but he has only a few K's on his card vL, and only a
few HG on his card vR, with 25+ extra base hits vs. each side. He's also a
50/Vg/0 bunter. He's playoff eligible, but can only start against
righties. Would be a real solid bench bat and pinch runner. I'd be
looking for a late fourth round to early fifth round value.

*TB Butler *- Probably a one year card at this point, but could make a
really nice bench bat for someone. He's 124-144-174 vL, 129-164-173 vR,
with Vg/Vg power. Best served as a DH or pinch hitter though with that J
range, but he can start in LF if needed in the playoffs. Looking for a
late fourth round to early fifth round pick.

*SEA Montero -* Only 26 years old, hitting well for the Jays in AAA.
Should get a chance at some point this year since Colabello's a cheater and
wasn't hitting anyway before being suspended. Not asking the world here,
maybe a prospect at another position or a 3rd round draft pick?

Catch me on irc or via email if you have any ideas.
