Some clarifications I think would help for those deciding how to vote:
2014-5) Clarify what defensive ratings can be used
This is only about whether or not players have to have played a position in
MLB to use a defensive rating, it doesn't effect starts or what ratings end
up on the cards. As Sean explained to me last fall when he was thinking
about it, it seems weird that players can have such a wide spread in the
corner outfield positions in terms of arms and range ratings. Sure, it's
possible that some players are much better at playing one corner versus the
other, but it seems likely that over a large sample of data things smooth
out.
In my mind it's something to help with emergency moves due to injury -- it
makes sense that someone could move from one corner spot to another without
a huge penalty in extreme circumstances.
2014-8) Establish requirements for logged MIS play
The requirement is for the home team to log results only when playing by
MIS. Am I misunderstanding why people would object to this? It's literally
one extra command before you start rolling.
