[IBL] emergency activation questions

The question I have regarding 4.1.1 then, is this, and this might require a
commissioner's edit of 4.1.1.:

Is a DTD player considered as injured for the series, or is he considered
as fulfilling one of those two roster spots? Sean, if I recall correctly,
you said at one point in the past that a DTD player counts as "healthy" in
that regard. If that's the case, then bringing up Nieves and having
Montero DTD fulfills the "2 at each position" requirement.

Nowhere in 4.1.1 that you posted does it say that an injured player has to
be deactivated the way it is currently worded. It does say that another
player can be activated, but it is not clear that an injured player must be
deactivated. (Thus my thinking it was within the rules to deactivate
Marisnick). If what you are saying is the rule, then 4.1.1 needs to be
revised to say that "A team may (but is not required to) replace an injured
player during a series by activating another player from their inactive
roster, *and deactivating an injured player*, so long as...etc.
