IBL CHAMPIONSHIP
----------------
First of all, congratulations to the Motor City Marauders for winning the
IBL
Championship Series, triumphing in a hard fought seven game series over the
Salt Lake Gulls. It was the seventh IBL championship for the Marauders,
the
most of any franchise. The Gulls claimed their third NC Championship in
the
last four years.
The recap and boxscores are archived here:

OWNERSHIP SITUATION
-------------------
We are once again entering a season with multiple teams without owners.
This is unsustainable long-term, and if we are unable to remedy the
situation,
we may be forced to restructure the league through contraction or other
means.
We've had 24 teams since 1994 and I would much prefer to avoid having to
make
that kind of change. So I'm asking everyone to please make an effort this
year
to find people who may be interested in joining the league in any capacity,
or contact previous members who may want to return.
OPENING DAY
-----------
The 2025 IBL card set is now considered final. Feel free to download
and/or
print them. If you find any errors, please let Sean and me know and they
may
be corrected in an errata version. Thank you once again Sean for all your
hard work creating the card set!
The cards are available here:

IBL Opening Day will be Wednesday, April 2, with week one results due
Monday,
April 7. Transactions will be processed every Tuesday as usual, right up
until
opening day and during the season. You may start before April 2 if you and
your
opponent are ready early and don't need to wait for transactions.
This year's schedule is once again 25 weeks, with some weeks consisting of
four-game series. The first three weeks of the season are three-game
series.
Results are due every Monday night, and the transaction deadline is every
Tuesday night.
In preparation for the start of the season, please send your opening day
rosters
and week one home starting rotations to transactions at ibl.org. You only
need to
send a list of the ten players who will begin the season inactive.
Remember
that players who were uncarded last year and now have a card must be active
until at least week 8 (unless injured, see rule 3.1.2.)
Also please upload a default MIS to Dropbox.
Schedule:
April 1: Last preseason transaction deadline
April 2: Opening Day
April 7: Week 1 results due
April 8: Transaction deadline
April 14: Week 2 results due
April 15: Transactions and U.S. income taxes due
Have a great season! Play ball!
