[IBL] NJR's (mostly) bargain bin trade flyer

NJR is in a weird position entering the latter part of this season where we
are well out of contention, but we also already have a solid core for what
should be a much stronger team in 2026. As a result, we're taking a more
passive approach to the upcoming deadline.
The bad news is most of the below guys we have available for trade are
complementary pieces. The good news is with the exception of a couple, most
of these guys can be had for dirt cheap (late round draft picks or
depth-type reserve guys that could have value for NJR in 2026).
*Hitters:*
SF Yastrzemski
85/143/173 vs. LHP
72/112/168 vs. RHP (EX power)
RF - 5/F/0
One of the few guys on here with some semblance of future value, Yaz has
plenty of usage left and a nice reverse split on his card this year. Has
some future value as a platoon bat with a 123 OPS+ vs. RHP in MLB 2025 and
I'm more than happy to keep him for 2026, so he won't be cheap like the
folks below him.
TEX Garcia
74/105/136 vs. LHP
77/110/136 vs. RGP
RF - 6/I/-2
Would like to move him assuming I don't deal Yaz. His defense in MLB 2025
has been better and the power is still there. A much cheaper option than
Yaz, though maybe not the best fit for a contender.
CHA Benintendi
82/111/138 vs. LHP (AV power)
85/120/152 vs. RHP (VG power)
LF - 6/H/+2
With Kyle Stowers's breakout season, NJR doesn't plan to bring Benintendi
back in 2026. He's a far cry from the player he was pre-White Sox, but he
may be useful to a contender looking for offense off the bench. Can be had
for cheap if you're interested.
LAN Barnes
157/212/161 vs. LHP (can't start in postseason vs. LHP)
123/167/126 vs. RHP
C - 7/F/+2/Ex/0
Limited utility here, but he can get on base and may be an upgrade as your
backup if you don't mind the lousy arm. No future value, so he's super
cheap.
HOU Singleton
69/121/12 vs. LHP
98/174/164 vs. RHP (AV power)
1B - 5/I
Another veteran with no future value, but if you're somehow a contender
that's super desperate at first base, he can be had for very cheap.
MIN Martin
117/166/167 vs. LHP
121/157/168 vs. RHP
Playoff-eligbile in CF and LF
Young utility type guy with decent offensive card who can give your bench a
boost. You just don't want him in the field if your team is ahead. Is
getting somewhat regular playing time in the Minnesota outfield after the
Twins' deadline purge.
*Pitchers:*
WAS Parker
113/131/147 vs. LHB
101/131/167 vs. RHB
He's not a top arm, but he is young, has a decent card and is capable of
eating innings in the back of your rotation with no inj days. Like Yaz, one
of the few guys that has some value.
LAA Strickland
68/130/129 vs. LHB
74/99/149 vs. RHB
Good middle relief card, especially if you play in a large park that can
absorb his DFs. He will have a card next year, but has been hurt most of
the season so future value is limited.
ARI Mantiply
94/95/134 vs. LHB
111/119/164 vs. RHB
Need a lefty specialist? Mantiply is your guy. No future value, so he can
be had for super cheap.
ARI Sewald
107/142/225 vs. LHB
82/103/195 vs. RHB
Another card where you need a large park to absorb the DFs, but he's
available if you're desperate and need someone to get righties out.
Inquire within,
NJR Mike
