I hope everyone had an enjoyable IBL Opening Week!

Here's an update on some of our franchises:

The Everett Grays (EVE) are now managed by Hank Widmer (
hank.widmer at gmail.com).

The Baltimore Sand Crabs (BAL) games are being played by Mike Morgan
(morganwm429 at gmail.com), with Chris still helping as caretaker.

The Sparkle City Sluggers (SCS) have me as caretaker, as Billy had to step
away after the end of last season.  Tim Belanger (tbelanger00 at gmail.com)
and his
son will be learning to play and submit their games with my help.

The Round Rock Gryphons (RRG) are still being handled by Paul as caretaker.
Due to the pitching problems caused by RRG having far too many hot weather
games
as a Wrigley Field team with Southwest weather last year, they have moved
to DET
Comerica Park, and are being designated as Heartland weather.  No other
teams
decided to change parks this season.

The Bowling Green Bandits (BOW) are in limbo at the moment, as Mike has not
responded to e-mails for a few weeks.  Opponents will be asked to play BOW
home
games for the time being.  We may ask an NC owner to act as caretaker if
necessary.

Please continue to scout for potential new owners or associates.

Late results are understandable this early in the season as people may not
have cards printed yet, or are otherwise getting organized.  Please try to
get
caught up quickly though.

NO-HITTER
---------
It didn't take long for the season's first no-hitter, as the Monrovia
Madness
celebrated their home opener with a Logan Gilbert gem against Williamstown
in
a 9-0 victory.  Gilbert struck out nine and walked two, retiring Xander
Bogaerts
on a hard grounder to second to finish it off.

It was reportedly the first no-hitter for the Madness in their 27-year
history.
