With the deadline less than a week away, here's an update on what NJR has
available. Most of the best cards are gone, but there may be a few pieces
left here for contenders:
*Infielders*
SEA Rojas 106/141/132 vs. LHP
105/135/147 vs. RHP
2B 7/C, 3B 5/F defense
Again, good utility player who has good defense at 2B, runs well and can
bunt for hits.
ATL Lopez 95/153/107 vs. LHP
80/155/104 vs. RHP
2B 9/D, 3B 9/E defense
Good option as a late defensive replacement
*Outfielders*
CHA Benintendi 132/160/191 vs. LHP
129/161/170 vs. RHP
6/H/+1 LF defense
Can get on base and has a high steal rating of 11.
SF Yastrzemski 70/119/155 vs. LHP
76/146/181 vs. RHP
CF 8/G/0, RF 8/D/0
TEX Garcia 78/162/194 vs. LHP
85/144/206 vs. RHP
RF 4/F/-3
With the LF/RF rule change not passing, I'll have to deal one or the other
before next season. Yaz has more immediate future value, but Garcia is the
better card for contenders.
*Starting pitchers*
BOS Paxton 95/147/173 vs. LHB
86/123/192 vs. RHB
Cheap starter available if you're in need of an extra arm.
*Relief pitchers*
ARI Sewald 75/132/152 vs. LHB
72/110/119 vs. RHB
Lots of K's on his card, limited future value as he regressed this year.
TEX Stratton 65/125/95 vs. LHB
86/107/139 vs. RHB
Good at getting hitters out from both sides of the plate. Another arm who
regressed this year.
WAS Weems 56/143/129 vs. LHB
51/92/138 vs. RHB
Can get rightys out in a pinch. Can be had for a cheap, a decent option for
that 5th/6th arm in your pen.
Same as before, we're looking for picks and young players at most any
position.
