I am still offering up three players who are somewhat surplus to my needs but still can fill a hole for the right team:
SD GrishamWhat he has to offer: Everything except batting average. Some walks, some power, decent speed, good projected defense.Where he is in 2024: He is the only outfielder on the Yankees who can play CF for real. Currently the 4th OF, which will last until Judge and/or Stanton are injured. If he is so great, why am I dealing him? Many CAN CF.
What I am asking: As a 2.0 bWAR/1.7 fWar player headed into his age 27 season, I am asking a 3rd firm and think this is reasonable.
TOR BiggioWhat he has to offer: Full time 2B. Also full time RF, part time 3b and 1b, carded at ss. Pretty much league average OPS which is concentrated in an above average OBP, so he won't kill your lineup. Hits equally well vLH and vRH.Where he is in 2024: He is currently top of the depth chart in Toronto at 3b. If the Jays sign another 3b he will probably spend a good amount of time at 2b if (as I suspect) pitchers caught up with Schneider and he hits more like September (727 ops) than August (1420 ops).If he is so great, why am I dealing him? I have Stott, Julien, and Bae also at 2B.What I am asking: 4th+ value (A #4 plus a pick swap, for instance).
CHN GomesWhat he has to offer: A decent bat for a C, especially vLH. Very good arm (29% CS vs 19% league average.Where he is in 2024: Still in Chicago where he should get half the C starts. If he is so great, why am I dealing him? I have Ruiz and Adams (who I could alternatively deal). What I am asking: a 4th rounder. (If you want Adams he is 3+ at least.)
I'm looking for picks (ideally 2024) although offers for decent SP or good RP would also be considered.
Joel
