Happy December All!
Bumping my flyer from earlier in the offseason, updating a few valuations
and team needs:
Ryan Mountcastle
-Still just 27 and a statcast darling, he continues to hit the ball hard
and often. The Mount Walltimore is Mount WalltiNO MORE! Projects to be my
starting 1B this year and I believe with a shorter porch he will put it all
together, but technically a weak part of my lineup for THIS year. Would
ideally package him for an elite 1B with strong vRHP splits. Still
early/mid 2nd round value.
Davis Schneider
-25yo full timer at 2B/LF next year. Had a hot April & May before
plummeting to an overall disappointing season. Should have a steady role
with Toronto next year. Has become expendable as I have a lot of depth at
2B and LF next year. Looking for mid/late 3rd round value.
Brandon Drury
-32yo rebound candidate, full time at 2B, part time at 3b/1b. 2024 was
injury marred and bad but the previous two years had been very useful.
LATE round pick value.
Kevin Newman
-31yo full time at 2B/SS, had few appearances at 1B/3B/LF. Above average
defender at 2B and SS and while the .686 OPS isn't shiny, the .278 AVG
should play well as a bottom of the order guy. 4th round value.
Dane Dunning
-29yo SP/RP. Typically a useful eater of innings, uncharacteristically
plagued by HRs this year. K% and SIERA still in line with career norms,
rebound candidate. Late round pick value.
Picks (1-9 and 2-13)
-Open to moving either pick straight up or in a package for an elite player
at a position of need. Also open to trading down in an effort to acquire
more picks.
What SFP is looking for:
1. Positionally looking for a strong vRHP bat, short term needs at 2B, 1B,
and CF.
2. Strong bullpen help - lost majority of current bullpen this year.
3. Picks!! I'm projecting to have anywhere from 6 to 9 picks to make, and
I only have 3 picks in the first 7 rounds. I'm very interested in
acquiring mid-round picks.
Players not listed can also be made available in the right deal.
Thanks,
Matt, SFP
