Although I did the side hustles for 3 of my 5 days off, it's been really nice not to have to do my "regular" job. I have a few players potentially available as I continue to try to rebuild/retool my mess of a team (which in no small part is due to top pitchers being injured). I'm looking to move up in the first round, or for extra picks. I'd also consider good future options at 2B and CF, and maybe a plan for the future in RF and SP. A couple of 26 year old prospects available: ATL Dodd - lefty SP, currently in AAA KC Taylor - 2B/OF, currently in AAA And the veterans: SEA Garver - It's an odd numbered year coming up, so pretty much guaranteed 20 HR's and a .260/.365/.508 slash line :-) BAL O'Hearn - Baltimore picked up his option, so he'll be back as a 1B/DH ATL Kelenic - Former top prospect is still only 25. He's streaky, but I still believe he can put together some good seasons if he can get reduce the K's. PHI Hays - Got off to a bad start last year, was better in July/August. I'd expect more consistency bouncing back wherever he signs. NYA Chisholm - He'll probably be my starting CF at least for next season, but he's on here because I also have TEX Jung, TB Mead, and ARI Lawlar. Still only 26 and there's not a lot of players that are going to get you 25 HR and 40 SB's. He'll be priced accordingly. Only slightly possibly one of BAL Burnes, ATL Fried, MIA Alcantara - and only for a star/future star at CF or 2B, or a mid-high first rounder. Alcantara maybe *slightly* less on the ask because of the surgery, but he threw in September and was back in the 97-99 mph range, so I have faith. TB Rasmussen - Came back from surgery nicely, had a great end of year (11 K per 9) as a reliever with a few starts. SD Vasquez - 26 year old 4th/5th starter type that made 20 starts for the Padres. Relievers available - NYN (now CHA) Marinaccio, OAK Alexander, BAL Perez, Brent Honeywell, Josh Staumont Other players could be available, but right now they are in my plans for the upcoming season and beyond. If you wish to retain players on this list you should file an appeal with the Commissioner ASAP. Please note that the current FA list includes a lot of uncarded players who will eventually be deleted. Those deletions will made after all the cuts have been processed. We?ll try to push a change to the website soon that will include the UC status of the FAs. CUTS If you wish to release additional players please submit a list of cuts to >. Generally speaking, RRG is not yet ready to compete for the playoffs this coming season, so is very willing to deal anyone not part of their long term core. Doesn't hurt to ask as there are only a few untouchables in the right deal. While guys like *India, Nimmo, Toglia* are not being actively shopped, they could be available in the right deal. Given a top 5 pick for RRG and given all the OF at the top of the draft crop, someone like *Nootbaar *could also be available. The guys RRG are more actively shopping... 1. *Andrew Heaney.* Solid .312 wOBA allowed 17% K-BB. Reasonable HR rate. Limited injury risk. Good for a solid 190 innings on a good team. Given RRGs dearth of SP, I would probably need a younger SP in return to fill innings. 2. If you are in need of a utility IF, RRG has both *Wisely *and *Cabrera* and I would prefer to not keep both. Both are in that 25 year old range so both have some level of upside. Wisely is good defensively at 2B/SS and can fill in at 1B, 3B, and CF. He also hits lefties pretty well so could be a short side platoon up the middle. Cabrera has more usage at more positions and can play everywhere but CF/C. Defensively, he is good at 3B and marginal everywhere else. He has slightly better batted ball metrics than Wisely (probably more bat upside) and hits righties better. He could function as a strong side platoon bat at 3B if you have a big hole. Both are nice utility guys to fill out your roster. Congrats to Matt/SEA on his season and a big thank you for making it a fun and tight series! SCORES SEA 2 1 5 6 0 1 SLG 3 2 4 3 10 3 Recap: G1: Burger's 1st inning, 2-run HR gives SLG an early lead. SEA strikes back in the 7th when Noda hits a 2-run triple. Marsh lined a single in the 8th to score Hoerner from 2nd to win the game. G2: Arcia's 7th inning HR breaks a 1-1 tie. Cole outlasts Gallen for the W. G3: Ragan's 1st inning jitters allow SLG 4 runs but SLG is shut down the rest of the way. SEA ties it up in the 3rd with a Machado HR. deGrom comes in to pitch the 11th and straightway walks McNeil who scores on Santana's double. G4: Lugo wins the battle of 4th starters pitching masterfully through 7 scoreless innings. A late SLG rally isn't enough. G5: SLG scored on every SEA pitcher and Gray pitched a gem. G6: Marsh hits a go-ahead HR in the 5th which was all Cole needed for the W. With RRG picking towards the top of each round, they are certainly willing to trade say, a 3rd for a 2nd (which might only mean dropping a few picks depending on where your pick lies), and throwing in one of those later round picks to make it worth your while. While I thought it was implied, I just wanted to clarify. While I would also understand wanting to wait and see how the draft unfolds before making such a trade, I am also willing to pull the trigger early as it would help clarify a couple of "who to keep" issues at the bottom of the roster. Had a hot April & May before plummeting to an overall disappointing season. Should have a steady role with Toronto next year. Has become expendable as I have a lot of depth at 2B and LF next year. Looking for mid/late 3rd round value. Brandon Drury -32yo rebound candidate, full time at 2B, part time at 3b/1b. 2024 was injury marred and bad but the previous two years had been very useful. LATE round pick value. Kevin Newman -31yo full time at 2B/SS, had few appearances at 1B/3B/LF. Above average defender at 2B and SS and while the .686 OPS isn't shiny, the .278 AVG should play well as a bottom of the order guy. 4th round value. Dane Dunning -29yo SP/RP. Typically a useful eater of innings, uncharacteristically plagued by HRs this year. K% and SIERA still in line with career norms, rebound candidate. Late round pick value. Picks (1-9 and 2-13) -Open to moving either pick straight up or in a package for an elite player at a position of need. Also open to trading down in an effort to acquire more picks. What SFP is looking for: 1. Positionally looking for a strong vRHP bat, short term needs at 2B, 1B, and CF. 2. Strong bullpen help - lost majority of current bullpen this year. 3. Picks!! Other than the two RFs listed at the top, all of the below players can be had for later draft picks and lower-grade prospect types. *SF Yastrzemski/TEX Garcia* - With Ohtani at DH, I don't have the flexibility to keep both of them, so one of them has to go. Yastrzemski will have a much better card in IBL 2025 - .757 OPS vs. RHP, can play as the strong side of a platoon. Garcia is more for teams looking toward 2026: He regressed massively in all facets of the game in MLB 2024, but I personally think he played hurt most of the year and he had an offseason procedure done on his knee. If you believe in a bounceback, he may be your guy. *SEA Turner* - Good option for a contending team with a hole at 1B. 117 OPS+ in MLB last year, a solid .354 on-base percentage and is full-time at 1B. He just turned 40, so he's obviously a very short-term option, but you could do worse. *SEA Rojas* - Part-time option at 3B or as a utility man. Can't hit LHP a lick but had a 104 RC+ vs. RHP. Well above average defender at 3B according to most defensive metrics and typically has excellent bunt ratings. *BOS Paxton *- If you need a #5 starter for cheap, Paxton is available. He "ate" 100 innings in MLB last year and won't have as many injury days as years past. He's retiring, so no future value, this is a cheap rental card. *SD Musgrove* - Similar to Paxton, pitched almost 100 innings and had injury trouble. Should have a weird reverse split card: LHB just a .619 OPS against him, but RHB clobbered him. His elbow gave out in the playoffs and he had Tommy John Surgery, so his future value is unknown/limited. *ARI Mantiply *- An option if you miss out on the top LH relievers in the draft. Mantiply held LHB to a .553 OPS last year, allowed just two home runs and had a 53% ground ball rate. Solid middle reliever. *ARI Sewald* - Injuries set him back last year, but he held RHB to a .628 OPS, struck out nearly 10 batters per 9 innings and can be had for very cheap.
