Hello IBLers,

I am shopping Michael Massey, presumably to a team that is rebuilding. He
got off to a terrible start, then caught fire in May, before an injury set
him back. His overall numbers are very meh, but he is still just 25 and
Zips has him as roughly a 2 WAR player the next three years (.250/10-15 HR,
average range, low errors) so I do think he has some value as a potential
regular young enough to have some upside. I think there are a few
non-contending teams without a clear answer at the keystone moving forward
for whom he would make some sense.

My intention was to shop him in the off-season, but I figured I would start
early since he is expendable this year and I have second base options going
into next year.

What am I looking for? To be honest, I am open. It could be a nice bench
piece for this year. It could be a similar "project" type player at a
different position (C, 3B, SS, RF, but not limited). I would also be
interested in relief pitching, though they would need to be viable next
year. I probably cannot take any players that have excessive usage needs.

Like I said, throw a few names my way and we can see what might fit. At
worst, we can talk some baseball.

Paul
