NJR has a few players available that may interest rebuilding teams for the
future:
DET Greene - Need a closer for next year? Greene may have one of the better
cards in the set. Opponents hitting just .153 off of him and he's got a
career-high strikeout rate at 28% so far. Both Greene and Neris (see below)
are on pace to reach usage this year.
PHI Neris - Was having an outstanding year like Greene, but has come back
down to earth lately. Opponents hitting just .204 and he's striking out
more than 30% of the hitters he's faced so far. Good option if you play in
a pitcher's park and can swallow the extra deep flies on his card.
SF Samardzija - His strikeout rate, walk rate and opponent BA are in the
neighborhood of his 2016 MLB season, so check his IBL 2017 for a very rough
idea of what you might get. Not an ace by any means, but if you're looking
for an innings eater to fill out the rotation for a playoff contender in
2020, Samardzija is a decent option. His IBL2019 card is really bad, so I
haven't pitched him yet - he'll need 156 BF to make usage.
TOR Smith - Started season off strong in LF for Baltimore, but has slumped
lately. OPS was still above .700 for all of the first half. Available for a
fairly cheap price if you'd like to take a flyer.
LAA Calhoun - Has a lousy card this year, but he's bounced back with a .791
OPS and is typically a D or E defender in RF each year. We currently need
him this year for defense and I have no problem bringing him back for 2020,
but I'm willing to deal him if I get a better IBL2019 RF card either in
return or in another deal.
What we need:
Relief pitching - Looking for a decent late inning guy and maybe a LH as
well
Upgrades, particularly at RF or SS.
Bench bats.
One more injury insurance starting pitcher
We're also willing to trade any of the above for picks as well as trade
picks away - all of our picks are up for discussion except SFP#1 unless you
really really blow me away with an offer.
