PLAYOFFS
--------
You can follow the playoffs here:
http://wiki.ibl.org/dokuwiki/doku.php/2018-playoffs

The AC Championship Series is set, with the Williamstown Thunder and
Portland Raptors advancing. In the Division Series round, the Thunder
took down the wild card winning Philadelphia Phantasm, and the Raptors
defeated the Tri-State Traffic. Both series were won in six games.

In the NC, the Canberra Redbacks defeated the San Diego Quakes in six
to advance to the NC Championship Series. The Seattle Rainiers hold
a 3 games to 1 lead over the wild card Edgemoor Cannons in their Division
Series.

Please try to have the conference championship round finished by
January 14. That is three weeks after the Division Series deadline.
This also assumes the SEA/EDG series will be completed very soon.
(Please finish it soon!) If not, the deadline may need to be changed.

TEAM CHANGES
------------
As part of an agreement with Doug to have him remain as owner of BAL last
year, we agreed to facilitate a conference change at the end of the season.
To correspond with that move, Alex has requested to move ODM to the AC and
to rename his team the Los Angeles Doyers. (Abbreviation LAD? Or DOY?)

The result would be the Baltimore Sand Crabs joining the NC West, and the
Los Angeles Doyers joining the AC West.

If anyone has any objections to this change, please let me know right away.
Realignment changes require two-thirds approval of league owners, so I will
hold an official vote if there are more than one or two objectors.

Also, let me know if anyone objects to the name "Doyers". It looks like the
Dodgers are using it in their marketing to Hispanic fans (and selling Doyer
Dogs), but a Google search shows some people think it may be insulting.

Alex Campbell has volunteered to be Draft Administrator for the first
eight rounds, during which he currently has no picks. After that I should
have no picks left and can take over the remaining rounds myself.

Trades may be sent in until January 31. At that point transactions are
frozen
as we start the list portion of the draft. The only exception is that draft
picks may still be made until the first Friday in February, which this year
is February 1.

At that point, excess draft picks will be removed and the final draft order
will be sent out. The first list, for the remainder of the current round,
will be due by Monday, February 4, and subsequent lists will be due each
Wednesday, Friday, and Monday. (See Constitution, section 4.6.2.)
