Happy New Year everyone!

Playoff teams -- please pick up the pace immediately!  We are way, way
behind
schedule and the draft might be finished before the playoffs are.

The AC Wild Card series is the main offender and should have been done
weeks ago.
I'm setting the following deadlines to try to keep the playoffs moving
along at the
intended 2 weeks per round:

AC Wild Card:  results due Wednesday, January 17 (3 nights from now).
Division Series:  due Monday, January 29.  (SNH/SCS is already complete,
thank you!)
Conference Championships:  due Monday, February 12.
IBL Championship Series:  due Monday, February 26.

If you have trouble organizing FTF for any of these series, then play by
MIS!  There's
no rule that says all playoff games have to be face-to-face.  I've played a
few playoff games
by MIS in years past.

If you think you will be unable to finish by your deadline, please let me
know and
we'll figure out what we can do.

If you can play your series earlier than your deadline so we can compress
the schedule
and finish earlier, that's even better!  Please try to do so if you can.

The Sparkle City Sluggers defeated the Oaksterdam Bombers in the NC Wild
Card series,
3 games to 1, in a series of all one-run games.

In their subsequent Division Series matchup, the Sluggers were then taken
down by the
top seeded Southern New Hampshire Spectre, 4 games to 1.

Chicago faces Portland in the AC Wild Card series.

Motor City as the #1 seed will then choose the Wild Card winner or
Williamstown as their
opponent for the Division Series.  Tri-State will face the team MCM does
not choose.

Seattle faces Santa Fe in their NC Division Series.  The winner will face
SNH.
