After falling 6 games under .500, having a record that is better than only
3 teams in the conference, and 3 brutal home losses this week where we were
leading all of them after 6, it's time to change gears. KAT has a good
number of pieces that we are either looking to trade or will consider
trading. I'm looking for good cards for next year and towards the future.
*What we're looking for* -
C - We've got Maldonado who should be great defensively but has no stick.
LF - We have Dahl COL, but he's been hurt almost all year. Will most
likely look at the draft to fill this hole, but will consider other options
LHR - We have none (other than Montgomery CHN) for next year
SP - Looking for a starter that can fill a spot in the top 3 of a rotation
3b prospect - We'll most likely use Descalso ARI at 3b next season.
Looking to the future here
4th or 5th OF - Someone who can back up CF
Picks - 6th round or better, as we'll probably not use anything later than
a 7th as it is now.
*What we're shopping* - These are the players we want to move, so prices
are more flexible. Looking for mid round pick value (4-6) for most of
them. (Santana would be more)
FrazierT. NYA - Solid OBP with 6F defense at 3b and good pop. He's
struggled in MLB and been hurt so far this season, but is due back from the
DL soon.
Mahtook DET - Can play full time in CF (7G+1) or RF(7E+1) with serviceable
range, a decent bat and some pop. Struggled horribly in MLB and currently
in the minors. He's a former 1st round pick in MLB and is only 28, but the
shine is off his prospect status.
Rupp PHI - backup C who can hit LHP pretty well, has some pop and has some
value defensively. No future value
Moylan KC - RHR who is very tough against RH batters.
LaStella CHN - Can't start in the playoffs, but is eligible (I believe) for
a bench role and has a great bat (127/197/180, 114/202/193). Having a
halfway decent season in MLB and should be 3B eligible next season. Can
easily keep him for next season if I can't work a deal.
Santana MIL - Three true outcome card who can play RF (5G0). Struggled in
MLB this season and with the emergence of Polanco PIT my RF appears locked
down. Can easily keep him for next season if I can't work a deal.
*What we'll consider* -
SP - Anyone not named Manaea. Will consider any of Darvish, Montgomery
(NYA or CHN), Fister, Bundy, though I will likely only move 1 of them (if
any). I've had discussions on some of these players with multiple owners
previously and will continue those discussions towards making a deal.
Crawford SF - Great defense (7D) at a premium position with a light bat,
he's having a great season in MLB .285/.352/.439 with even splits all
around and should have his usual great defense again next season. I'm
planning to use Peraza CIN at ss next season and would like to flip
Crawford for a similar caliber player at a different position if possible.
If we've talked previously please touch base again. I've got notes as to
previous discussions and am now prepared to enter more serious discussions.
