Welcome to the Gettysburg Generals' *"I know it's only the start of week 5
but my team sucks and I'm only going to win 65 games and my team is getting
older so I better trade some guys while they are good and re-tool for next
year but I could make a run so I'm a little hesitant but then I realize I
only have 2 good pitchers, 4 good relievers, and about 5/9 of a playoff
quality lineup so yeah I should make trades"* trade flier (2017 edition).

Let me start by saying that this is by no means a fire sale. I plan to
re-tool quick and compete as early as next year (with any luck from some
younger players). I have some great cards available, but I'm not going to
trade for trading's sake...any trades I make have to fit the plan; I'm not
giving guys away; make an offer and I'd be happy to discuss it. I'm
looking for draft picks and young-ish prospects with great potential, maybe
that are already proving themselves in MLB but that don't have great cards
this year.

So, guys I won't deal at this point: PIT Glasnow, LAN Jansen, HOU Giles,
PIT Watson, *either* CHN Lester *or* SF Cueto, HOU Peacock (what the hell
got into that guy so far this year?), BAL Wieters, PIT Bell, COL LeMahieu,
CHN Russell, *either* TB Longoria *or* LAN Turner, CLE Brantley.

So that leaves quite a pool to deal from - *bold blue text* guys are ones
that I'd expect a lot for - a #1 pick and probably something else too.

DET McCann - 26 year old mediocre hitter with Vg power vs. lefties, a -3
arm and 3 pickoff
BAL Davis - Same story as every other year, power guy that K's, Vg/Ex power
and is 7/E at first base
OAK Pinder - Prospect that could be a key pinch hitter for ~70 PA's later
in the season when you are battling for the division - 119/136/211 with 60+
extra base hits against lefties
*TB Longoria* - Excellent and extremely balanced card this year with ~
121/138/249 slashes vs. both sides, Vg/Ex power, low HG
*LAN Turner* - Decent vL, excellent vR with 128/172/248 slash, Vg/Vg power,
low K's, low HG, 8/D defense at 3b, and runs at a 3
TEX Profar - Mediocre hitting, Fr power vR, 3/F at 2b, 5/D at 1b, still
young with plenty of potential to reach (I still like Profar in the long
run, so offer accordingly - he's not getting dealt for a 3rd rounder)
STL Hazelbaker - Very nice part-timer and ph vR, F range in LF/RF, Vg/Ex
power with ~ 30 HR each side, and VG bunter
CHN Szczur - Another very nice card with slashes in the 110/125/160 range,
Av/Av power, and F range and -1 arm in LF and rf
TB Jennings - Just signed a minor league deal with the Mets, Av/Av power,
runs well, F range in LF/rf
*PHI Herrera* - I doubt that I'll end up trading him, but excellent card
vs. both sides, 2/10/1 run/steal/jump, Vg bunter, F range in CF and D in
lf/rf for late in games
OAK Eibner - Bench guy that could see more MLB time this year, Av/Av power
with E range in RF/lf
SD Blash - Late prospect type, injured in IBL, but Vg/Vg power and playing
in MLB for the Padres now, although not hitting well so far

*CHN Lester* - Of Lester and Cueto, I'm more likely to keep Lester,
85/105/125 vL, 90/121/144 vR nice range of K's, low BB, and for a poor hold
still has -1 and 1 pickoff
*CIN Cueto* - 105/120/126 vL, 88/110/110 vR, no DF vL, 10 vR, low BB, high
fatigue, F range, Vg/-4/5 (!) hold/pick, still only 30, lots of great years
left
LAA Skaggs - Good but not great card, limited BF available, but a nice
plug-in for a bit
PHI Morgan / SF Suarez / SD Vargas - Minor league types, cheap options to
get you innings
OAK Rodriguez - 66/155/112 vL, 40/96/54 vR, can go multiple days
OAK Smith - 29/147/39 vL, 30/91/57 vR, can be a long man or multiple days,
6th inning or later for the playoffs, but a really good card
TB Cedeno - lefty RP 82/116/96 vL, 95/122/117 vR, Vg hold, zero DF
ATL Krol - another lefty, not a closer type but won't get beat up too bad
with 128/145/154 vL, 122/143/165 vR
TEX Jeffress - nice card vR at 98/124/110, D range, Vg hold, zero DF, lots
of HG
CHN Wood - excellent vL at 55/96/110, D range, Vg hold
