[IBL] ODM, SFP split first 2 games

ODM and SFP split the first two games of their NC Divisional series, played in
Santa Fe.
In game 1, a pitcher's duel carried through until the bottom of the 7th. With
the score tied at 1, Brad Miller greeted reliever Andrew Miller with a 3-run
bomb. Sal Perez reached on an error, and Brock Holt doubled him home. Holt tried
to stretch the hit into a triple, and when Adam Eaton uncorked a wild throw,
Holt raced home with what eventually proved to be the game winner. The Prairie
Dog bullpen almost threw the game away, as Pat Neshek and Drew Pomeranz allowed
homers to make the score 6-4 in the 8th. In the 9th, Cesar Hernandez got caught
napping on a Perez pickoff throw, but was still able to steal second. Alex
Gordon singled Hernandez home. Gordon was forced at second, but Brad Miller's
throw to complete the DP sailed into the dugout, putting the tying run in
scoring position. Michael Blazek came in to save another nailbiter of a victory.
In game 2, it was once again tied at 1 late in the game before the wheels fell
off for the home team. Sean Gilmartin came on to start the 8th for Santa Fe. AJ
Pierzynski singled, Gordon reached on an error, and Eaton singled to score pinch
runner Hernandez for the Oaksterdam lead. Keone Kela replaced Gilmartin, and a
Kelby Tomlinson single scored Gordon, putting runners at the corners. It looked
like that would be all, as Josh Donaldson whiffed and Danny Valencia popped up.
Troy Tulowitzki then sent a Kela fastball over the fence, and it was suddenly
6-1 Oaksterdam. Danny Duffy came and got the final out of the inning, but only
after a Justin Morneau double, Brandon Phillips' second homer of the series, and
singles by Hernandez and Gordon. The home team tried, but couldn't muster enough
of an offense to come back.
The series now moves to Oaksterdam for 3 games.
As interesting side notes, Gilmartin earned the decision in both games for Santa
Fe. Oaksterdam has out-hit Santa Fe 22-9 yet only managed a split so far.
