I've been told my fliers always say the same thing, so I'm trying to be a
little more clear with this one as far as who is available and what I'm
looking for.
Due to the fragility of my starting pitching (Wilson injured, Bradley out
for the year, Cueto and Young minor but short stay risks) I'm looking to
add a SP or two to my roster. Therefore, I'm making some players available
that I hadn't really planned on trading, and I have some others that have
been available also.
I also have draft picks available, including an extra 4th and an extra 6th
rounder.
This isn't a fire sale as I can just pick up a couple free agents to get me
through, so I'd expect equal value in return. I'll give extra
consideration to long term solutions in RF and at C also, although I'm
mainly looking for SP.
*LAN Turner *108/184/176 vL, 133/202/226 vR, Vg-Vg Power, 6/F at 3B, runs
2, steal 5
Very good 3B card that could put someone over the top or into a wild card
spot, solid future as the entrenched starter in LA
*TEX Andrus* 119/152/169 vL, 106/141/144 vR, Fr/Pr Power, 4/E at SS, runs
5, steal 9, jump 3, bunts 59/Ex/4, very few K's, few HG, 9 durability
There's a lot to like about this card, and Elvis is hitting even better in
MLB this year while drastically reducing his errors; still only 27 years old
*TB Jennings* 136/179/153 vL, 124/163/153 vR, runs 1 steal 5, jump 3
Struggling in MLB but with only a .220 BABIP should regress to career
norms, a very solid bench bat or part time starter
*KC Colon* 155/211/160 vL, 131/184/143 vR, 2/F at SS, few K's
Excellent on-base card that is playoff eligible (although he can't start);
26 years old and versatile, getting a chance to start some in KC with the
Moustakas injury
*MIL Rogers* 136/205/192 vL, 143/195/204 vR, 8/F at 1B, Av/Av power, low
no HG
Got a short cup of coffee in MLB for the Pirates a couple weeks ago, should
be up for inter-league play or injury, and is killing it to the tune of
.347/.407/.612 in the minors; playoff eligible as a bench bat / defensive
replacement, which is exactly my plan if GTY makes the playoffs
*CHA Shuck* 106/177/146 vL, 127/178/170 vR, runs 2, steal 7, jump 3, bunts
50/Vg/0, low to no K's, 25+ xbh vs each side
A very good on base card with some xbh pop; can help on the base-paths too;
in MiLB, but only 28 and would serve well as a 4th OF/PR/PH
*TB Butler* 124/144/174 vL, 129/164/173 vR, Vg/Vg power, fairly low HG,
steals 5
Nice bench bat for ph'ing or an occasional start in LF, playoff eligible too
*SEA Montero* Not a lot to say here except that he's only 26, hitting well
in minors, and has an Ex/Ex power card with only 71 PA's needed
*HOU Singleton* Again, not a lot to say, he's only 24 with a lot of power
potential, blocked in Houston right now; very few PA's needed (43)
*ARI Bradley* Out for the regular season in IBL, but if you have a bench
spot and can stash him, should be an excellent future value player (2 spot
starts in MLB, should continue to be the "next guy up")
*CLE Shaw* 89/135/150 vL, 93/116/151 vR, 6/C defense, ~ 100 K's on each
side
Pretty solid "bridge to the closer" card, got off to a rough start in MLB
with 2 bad outings, but since mid-April has gone 9.1 IP, 4 hits, 1 earned,
3 BB, 12 K; at that rate I should probably just keep him, but I have other
needs
If you have ideas, email me or catch me on irc.
