[IBL] GTY Draft-Time Flier

With the draft picks ready to fly off the board, I've been taking a long
look at the strengths and weaknesses of the Generals heading into the hot
stove season. I think that I have a chance to compete again for the
division, with much better cards from Jon Lester and Johnny Cueto, a killer
card from LAN Jansen and reasonably deep pen, and a pretty good offense and
defense, save some definite black holes in the outfield. As the draft
plays out, here is what I anticipate the Gettysburg needs to be and what I
might have available:

First Base - Not much depth here. I'll consider dealing BAL Davis, but
only for or if I can find another first baseman. The story on Davis is the
same as it has always been - great power, good OBP, but lots of K's to go
along with it. I have some good power from other positions (better than
last year), so I might be willing to look for a better hitter if I deal
Davis. If that doesn't happen, I'll be in the market for a part timer that
hits lefties well.

Other infield positions - DJ LeMahieu, Addison Russell, and Evan Longoria
will man 2b, ss, and 3b, and are not likely to be dealt unless someone
makes a really impressive offer (I got one last year and might still be in
the playoffs if I had taken it). Justin Turner and Jurickson Profar will
serve as backups and at DH, but I will consider dealing them. A third
baseman that can hit lefties might be of interest to me also.

Left Field and Right Field - Matt Szczur will play part time, and I can
fill a few games with Desmond Jennings, Michael Brantley, and possibly
Profar, but I definitely will need both a LF and a RF if I intend to make
the playoffs.

Center Field - I'm fairly comfortable here with Odubel Herrera, but if
someone has a CF available that hits lefties, I'm listening.

Starting Pitching - I'm comfortable with my top two in Lester and Cueto,
and they promise to have pretty great cards. I have another half a pitcher
in Tyler Skaggs, but he'll only be good for about 10 games or so, and
that's only if he doesn't get injured. I'm looking for #3, #4, and #5
starters.

Relief Pitching - Jansen, Ken Giles, Tony Watson, and Xavier Cedeno are
great to very good top 4, and I have some depth, so I'm fine with my pen,
but would consider adding one more really good righty. I also could deal
some of my depth (Fernando Rodriguez, Jeremy Jeffress, Ian Krol, Travis
Wood) if someone has need. They all have strengths and weaknesses.

I have the 10th and 19th overall picks in the first round. Although I'm
likely to keep the 10th, I will consider offers, and am also open to
sliding down or dealing away the 19th pick. Other than that, I have all
6th round or later picks, so I would possibly be interested in picking up
earlier picks also.

Let me know if anything piques your interest.

Thanks,
