While I haven't been tracking things lately, I will say there are still plenty
of hit batters in SFP games.
In the first game of the SDQ at SFP series, Jesse Hahn was showing pinpoint control
in trying to throw a shutout at the Dogs. He walked only one batter in 8.1
innings, but he did manage to miss the plate and plunk Joc Pederson and Brad
Miller. In the top of the 9th, Neftali Feliz was showing signs of being
overextended for Santa Fe. He came a bit too far inside on Starling Marte,
putting the Quakes' leftfielder on his backside, as well as bruising his arm.
The two exchanged words, but that was the extent of it.
As Feliz turned away from the plate to get ready for the next batter, he could
be seen trading small nods with Brock Holt.
