[IBL] SKY 1-8 Pick

SKY has decided on a player to be selected in this years 2015 draft.

GM:
We appreciate ya'll coming out tonight is this fridge temperature and the possibility of ice later tonight.  This pick was debated and analyzed with respect to preformances in the minor leagues, the type of stadium they played in the past, the field conditions, weather conditions etc....  We talked with High school coaches, college coaches, little league coaches and AAU coaches.  So before I give to much away I want to turn the podium over to our Pitching Coach Nolan Ryan.

Ryan:
I am looking forward to work with this young man for many years to come.  He is coming to us with good location, above average speed.  His cutter is one of the best in the league to go along with a fastball (2 seam and 4 seam), curve ball and change up.  With his arsenal, Mr. Stroman will be able to keep batter off balance and have no clue what is coming at them.

Press:  Wait did you say Stroman?  Is that what we are hearing?

Ryan:  Yes you heard me correctly Tom, We will be selecting Marcus Stroman of the Toronto Blue Jays as the overall #8 Pick of the 2015 draft.  He will fit in nicely with what we are building in Kentucky.  Mr. Pete Rose has done wonders with the bats this off season and the way Jose is hitting the ball, some pitchers my try to walk him 15 times in a series when they see how he has improved.  And some managers, no names will be given, will be crying to have there bats checked for foreign objects.  1-9 will be hitting machines!!!!  

Now with my pitching staff.  Cingrani progress from his injury is coming along very well and should be back to full health next Season (2016).  It is taking a little longer than anticipated but we are doing what is in the best interest of Tony.  Volquez improvement and the improvements of the rest of the pitching staff that we have seen in our off season practices we will be a force to reckon with.  We have circles a few dates in the calendar already and put up the ODM from last year when we gave them a whooping.  And we special plans for the series with them and CSG.  Mr Volquez has broken for batter dumbs with ODM stolen jerseys on them.  And Gonzalez has taken 2 heads off the others with his fastball just as a little warning for ODM!!!!

Well we are all tired after the long process of choosing the best player of the Hilltoppers and wish everyone a great night.  And who knows, we might try to pick up another 1st round pick or early 2nd round if one is available and the price is right.
