Due to a personality conflict between owners, Nelson had requested to change divisions a few years ago.  The PAD/MCM switch accomplishes this goal and should also make it easier for both teams to schedule FTF.  I'm in the Eastern time zone and Nelson is in the Pacific time zone.  MCM will be moving from a division with two teams in the Pacific time zone to a division with three teams in the Eastern time zone.  After my son was born this summer I found it difficult to stay up late to play FTF, so this should be a big help for me.

Also important here is that this switch should be relatively neutral from a competitive balance standpoint.  Nelson and I have been in the league the longest and have similar winning percentages.
