[IBL] PAD Pushed to the Brink, and Then Lives to Fight At Least One More Game

In Game 4 of the ACDS between the Philadelphia Phantasm and the Los Angeles Devils of Palo Alto, the Devils had an early 1-0 lead on a single by Dexter Fowler driving in Shin-Soo Choo - and then the Phantasm came alive, scoring two unearned runs in the 3rd and then three more earned runs against Devils starter J.A. Happ in the 4th and 5th. The Devils got two runs back in the 6th, but could get no closer, as the Phantasm went up 3-1 in the series. Kyle Seager homered for the Phantasm and added a single, while Kirk Nieuwenhuis - who did not homer in the regular season - homered for the Devils.
In Game 5, James Shields cruised for 8 innings for the Devils, who scored five runs off Clayton Kershaw (three earned), and Pedro Strop appeared to be poised to close it out in the 9th - but then, apparently spooked by an injury to teammate Mark Reynolds, gave up a 3-run homer to Leonys Martin to tie the game. In the bottom of the 9th, however, an error by J.J. Hardy allowed Neil Walker to reach to open the inning against Sean Doolittle, who then hit Shin-Soo Choo. A sacrifice by Marwin Gonzalez sent Walker to 3rd and Choo to 2nd. An error by Luis Sardinas then allowed Walker to score, allowing the Devils to take the series back to Philadelphia. Other than the homer, Martin had a double, while the Devils got homers from Reynolds and Walker. Reynolds is day-to-day.
