Since we've only got a few more weeks left in the season, I've been attempting to re-connect with a few people who have inquired about the league at various points in the past to see if they are interested in getting involved. I just heard back from someone who is very interested in joining, so I'm looking for a volunteer to take this new associate under their wing and "show them the ropes" over the final few weeks of the season. This means helping him get set up with IRC, walking him through playing games both FTF and by MIS, and of course using GRS to submit results. I think this is the best way to bring new people on board, ideally introducing them to all the responsibilities in a low-pressure way. Last year we had some teams that were caretaker-run that provided new members an opportunity to play games, but (thankfully) we're not in that situation this year. Please let me know if you're willing to step up and volunteer your time & team for this training exercise.
