[IBL] GTY Draft Flier

Now that I have my player rankings just about done, I thought I'd send a
more detailed flier out. I'm leaning toward not competing next season as I
feel that my offense would require too much work, but I do have very good
starting pitching and the beginnings of a good bullpen, so I really could
go either way. Right now I'll see what's out there, where interest lies in
my players, and then take steps in one direction or the other based on
responses.

I'm mainly looking for draft picks, for the 2015 draft mainly, but 2016
also.

My positional needs - starting catcher, backup catcher, backup 3b, backup
ss, backup 2b, relief pitching. If I decide to try to shoot for a playoff
spot, then I'd need improvements at ss, 1b, cf, and rp; anywhere considered
though.

In addition to the players below, I have 8th, 9th, and 10th round picks
available for those needing extras. I'll combine them all for one 2016
pick when those become available.

*PHI Brown* - A reclamation project who had a bad year last year in MLB.
He's only 27, and had a good year in 2013. I'd bet he's really somewhere
in between. He can play full time in LF, or as little as just over 2 PA
per game next year. Probably best suited for a rebuilding team that can
take the chance on a good rebound. Looking for a mid-round pick in the 5th
round range or a similar player at a position of need.

*DET Davis *- Dual position player (full time LF, 134 in CF) that had a
great season in Detroit. Should have an excellent card against lefties,
still steals bases, and ranked fairly well in OOZ/IP in both LF and CF.
Looking for a top half #3 pick.

*TOR Rasmus* - 28 year old that can't seem to put it all together. He has
power, but K's too. Middle of the pack range in CF. Will need only 1.6 PA
per game to get to 75%, so probably worth the bet for someone. Looking for
a later #2 or early #3 pick or similar player at a position of need.

*OAK Gentry* - Eligible at all OF positions, would make a decent
fourth/fifth OF and pinch runner/base-stealer. Looking for a pick in the
5th round or so.

*TEX Rios* - Good hitter with some base stealing and decent range in RF.
Looking for an early #3 pick.

*DET Hunter* - Solid hitter with some power, for IBL probably best used as
a DH. Still, given his card, I won't consider anything lower than an early
#3 pick.

*COL Cuddyer* - Another solid hitter with a good card, but limited because
of injury. Can play both RF and 1B. Make an offer.

*BAL Davis *- I think it's safe to say he struggled last year in MLB.
Still has power, K's too much, and despite his low average and K's, has a
near league average OBP. Had a BABIP that was 78 points below his career
average. Ranked in the top third of qualifying 1B in OOZ per inning played
too. I think he's due for a bounce back, although likely not to 2013
numbers. Make an offer that isn't a low-ball (you know if it is), and I'll
consider it.

*MIN Mauer* - High average, high OBP first baseman (yeah, thanks for that,
Twins). Had a very solid second half of the MLB season, is healthy now, so
I'd expect good things. Make an offer.

*PHI Utley* - Solid bat, some base-stealing, and very consistent. Should
have a card similar to last year's with a little less power. Make an offer.

Hitters that I'd have a very hard time trading, but will consider if an
excellent offer were made (these would require an absolute minimum of a #1
pick) - *TB Longoria, TEX Andrus, CLE Brantley, TEX Profar, TB Jennings.*

*CIN Cueto, BOS Lester, WAS Zimmermann* - Front of IBL rotation guys, all 3
had excellent years, are consistent, and have significant future value.
I'll only deal one of the three (if any), and would expect offers to start
with a #1 pick, top prospect, or similar level hitter.

*LAA Skaggs* - Should have a very good card, and is currently recovering
from Tommy John surgery. Guys bounce back from that all the time now
though (see WAS Zimmermann). His card should make a solid #3 IBL starter
for 25 games. He's only 23, and should bounce back nicely after
recovering. The surgery will scare people off, so I don't expect to get
much interest, but I wouldn't consider dealing him for lower than a #2 pick.

*CHN Wood, LAA Wilson* - Probably #4 type starters, but might work better
for some teams depending on park and current rotation. I'd consider a #3
pick or so, but would also be willing to deal for middle infield,
especially if I trade Utley. Both have been good to great in the past, and
there's still room to bounce back, although Wilson is a little older.

*LAN Jansen* - Top notch relief pitcher, but doesn't do me a ton of good if
I'm not competing. He's consistent though, so could just hold him, but
offers will be considered.

*CLE Shaw, LAN Howell* - Should have very good cards that someone could
use. Again, relief pitching on a non competitive team doesn't do much good.

*TEX Scheppers, SD Torres* - Might be good for someone looking for bounce
back candidates. Make an offer.

So yeah, everyone is potentially available for the right price. If you are
interested in anyone, let me know, catch me on irc, send an offer, etc.
