[IBL] MNM Trade Talk - Big Needs and Few Assets (Oh Boy!)

Hi all - Hope things are well with everyone. 'Tis the season for trade
flyers, and hats will be increasingly be thrown into the IBL ring. No
great expectation of actually making any, but thinking and talking trade is
a blast. In fact, thinking and talking about trades is better than
actually *making* trades when it comes to MNM given the lack of good
judgment that resides in MNM's front office.
So, on the thoughts and talk front:
MNM Cut List: Not much attractive there. I looked intently at Doubront
and Danks, and while there may be some reclamation value there for one
squad or another, the peripherals and trend lines are not particularly
encouraging. Having revealed my lack of confidence in their performance
going forward (a sure sign of a rebound by both), offers still of course
welcome.
Roster "Depth": Not a particularly large amount of depth to deal from
(boy, off to a great start here!). Of the potentially highest value where
they may be some depth is Pearce, who had a great year for the Os and I
would think will have an excellent card. Pearce with LF/1B eligibility is
good fit for me with Cespedes and Duda, and his bat should be potent, but
at least if I dealt him I'd still have starters at both positions.
Cespedes I suppose could go instead and Pearce man left for me.
Picks: As of now, my 9th and 10th round picks would go unused if
anyone interested. Otherwise, 7 picks in first 4 rounds might help make a
deal.
Needs: There are many. Among the biggest: MNM's weakest position is
shortstop. Defensive specialists almost anywhere, but especially middle
infield and probably CF, also needed. Also, a RF who can hit lefties and
a 3B who can hit lefties.
As for SPs, I have maybe 1.5 starters toward a Big 3 (Teheran's maybe a 1
and Pineda a .5 with good year over limited starts), and a mix of guys who
are middling at best (Gibson, Vargas, Guthrie, et. al).
I feel like my bullpen is somewhat better than it was last offseason, but
after facing some of your teams this year, it is astounding to me just how
good some of your bullpens are.
So, bottom line, interested in a quality starting shortstop; smaller deal
for defensive help almost anywhere even if not good offensively; a RF who
can hit lefties; a 3B who can hit lefties; and a SP of "Big 3" quality.
Hey, if I got all that, MNM might even finish .500 next year! Hope springs
eternal. :)
Thanks all and Happy Thanksgiving!
