I'm looking to improve for this year at any position (including backups),
and for a right handed starting pitcher to balance out my rotation for the
rest of the season with the option to use him in the playoffs. I have the
following guys potentially available, plus all of my picks: rounds 2, 3,
6, 8, 9, 10, SFP #4, WMS #5. If you have any ideas, email me or catch me
on irc - I'll listen on players and on picks that help me get better.

If a player is not listed here, it doesn't mean I won't deal him, just that
I plan to or am thinking about him for my playoff roster should I make it.

*Hitters*

*ARI Pennington *- 98/121/123 vL, 99/130/115 vR, 6/B+ at ss, 6/E at 2b.
Currently slated to be my backup/defensive replacement for the playoffs. I
wouldn't mind a better bat with good defense (better than Andrus' F
range) to replace him.

*COL Herrera *- 104/122/120 vL, 133/139/154 vR, 8/F at ss, 0/E at 2b.
Backup player not slated for my playoff roster. Decent platoon option vR,
can play 44 at 2b, 84 at ss, with plenty of available PA's.

*LAN Van Slyke *- 63/166/146 vL, 67/154/178 vR, Ex/Ex power, ~ 20 HR vs.
each, 4/E/0 in RF. Not playoff eligible (by 1 PA!), but is having an
excellent year in MLB (.273/.409/.545, with a HR every 20 PA), and
multi-position eligibility in IBL next year at all OF positions and
1B. Right now he's my backup/defensive RF, slated to be an excellent
DH/backup OF/part time 1b next year. Several teams have expressed
interest, but nobody has made an offer that I felt was worth it since his
card will be worth a lot more next year.

*MIA Marisnick *- I won't bother with his slash lines, because they won't
impress, probably the same next year. He's a prospect...at worst, I think
he'll be a great defender in CF with excellent speed and some power. At
best, he's a 5 tool player. He's only 23 and has a lot of work to do,
admittedly. Only 87 PA's to get this year (that's one PH per game), and
probably fewer than that next year while he develops. I'm fine with
getting his usage and holding onto him, but if someone else likes him as
much as I do, I'd listen. I can tell you this, insulting me with a #8 pick
offer that I won't even use won't get him.

*SEA Franklin *- 69/135/120 vL, 81/133/164 vR, Fr/Vg power, 3/A+ at 2b, 1/D
at ss, 1 run, 6 steal. Right now he's my backup 2b with Profar, and I
might carry him in the playoffs for his power vR and defense. I've had a
couple people ask about him, one offer made. I won't get his usage, and he
hasn't been good in MLB, so he's likely headed to the waiver wire after the
season. Right now, though, he's a decent platoon option vR for you, with
excellent defense. I won't deal him if I can't find a playoff 2b with E or
better range and decent hitting.

*SEA Montero *- Not great slash lines on this year's card, Vg power vRH,
and in the minors for Seattle right now with a "cup of coffee" in the bigs
earlier this year. Hitting very well in AAA right now, with a
.298/.366/.496 slash line. Might get just enough PA's to be carded if the
M's call him up in September. He's still only 24, and I think he still has
plenty of potential. Not worth the #1 pick I spent on him, but not a slug
either.

*Pitchers*

In addition to those listed below, I'd consider dealing one of my other
lefty starting pitchers for an equally good righty.

*ARI Skaggs (LHSP) *- 95/123/174 vL, 94/148/203 vR, Av/-1 hold, but lots of
DF's. Only needs 17 2/3 more IP this year for 75%, can pitch 40 IP.
Actually a serviceable card in a big park, but if you're trading for him
it's probably about his future. He will be just 23 years old in a couple
days, is carrying a 1.23 WHIP and only 7 HR given up in 91 IP in MLB. A
ton of potential yet to tap for a young guy. I moved up to round 1 to get
him, and I think he's still worth that, given his improvement in MLB this
year. At worst he's a mid-rotation starter in IBL, and could potentially
lead a staff for years.

*BOS Doubront (LHSP) *- 88/141/104 vL, 98/167/140 vR, 0 DF vL, Av/+2/4
hold. Needs just over 82 IP for 75%. A pretty decent card for the second
half. Struggled some in MLB this year, but should be easy usage next year
to see if he regains his stuff. Only 26 years old, so has some future
potential.

*NYN Parnell (RHRP-middle) *- 80/103/120 vL, 88/96/128 vR, No DF's, 100+
K's vs. both, low BB's, Avg/+1/0 hold. I have a bunch of good righty
bullpen guys, so he's available. He had TJ surgery 3 months ago, so he's
probably a card for this year only. 43+ IP to 133%, so he'd be a nice
addition for the whole second half of the season.

*PIT Mazzaro (RHRP) *- 94/130/117 vL, 132/146/143 vR, No DF's, few 2B's,
few BB's, Vg/0/0 hold. Again, too many righties in the pen. Has 98 IP
available to 133%, needs 55 to keep.
