For technical reasons that are, I think, nobody’s fault, the Pettitte/Nuno trade has been rescinded.

While I think I owe Alex the obligation to negotiate with him first to see if we can rework the deal, I will say that I do think Pettitte is going to be of value to any contender, as he is usable either as a reliever or a starter.  So, if you do not hear of a revised deal between PAD and ODM and are interested in Pettitte, let me know.  He will not be expensive, although it does have to be a piece that will improve PAD in some way - otherwise, we wouldn’t have any incentive to trade him.
