Yes it's put a strain on my SP's and weakened my already crap team. It's bad luck, but it's not a reason to change the rules or add a rule. Don't want two long term injuries? Don't have the player on your roster. We have 36 roster spots - that's enough to insulate yourself against this type of injury woe. I'd be willing to bet this injury issue happens way less than we think it does.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">2024-03<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">Meh. Yes 280 innings is unrealistic. So is 262.5, which is 125% of the 210 MLB innings example. If you want to limit that kind of SP "abuse", then limit the number of starts they can make, which is way out of proportion to reality. Every (162 game) season for the last 5 years there's 17-20+ pitchers making 33 or more starts. When's the last time that happened in MLB? A team hasn't had 2 starters make 35 starts since the 2006 Braves.
