Over the last several months, I’ve spoken to people who’ve expressed an interest in the IBL. Primarily through Facebook and the various forums that specialize either in sports themed boardgames or the Strat-O-matic/APBA/Dynasty League games. What I’ve found is that it’s tough to describe in a succinct manner, what the IBL is and what the advantages are. So, I took it upon myself to create a video.

And the link is here: https://youtu.be/wlZTegj0AKg

And yes, while the video has undergone several edits (and I’d like to thank the guys who’ve helped with that), I’m opening it up to the members to look at and provide feedback. There’s always room for improvement.

The video isn’t public. It’s designed to be used as a tool for prospective members. Just as the Wiki on the IBL page is a tool. And the goal is the same…to provide as much information to prospective new owners as possible. So random people won’t simply trip across the video and respond. Only people provided with the link will see the video. Perhaps if it’s deemed worthy enough, it can be added to the Wiki that’s on the home page.

So, if during the coming days, you find yourself with 17 minutes to kill (that’s the length of the video), please head on over and take a look. Jot down some notes and fire them off to me. I’m looking for constructive criticism, ideas, notes, and a general overview of what you think. (and yes, that is my voice on the voice over and I had to redo it THREE times because I was told it either sounded too “NPR” or too contrived. Too NPR? What does that even MEAN? Family can be so cruel).

Enjoy

Doug Palmer

IBL Owner and Videographer

BAL

Sent from Mail for Windows 10
