<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small">I'm in a position where I think I can compete, but I'm low on draft pick assets this year and I don't have a ton of youth around the diamond that I'm willing to deal.<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small">I'm very likely to make a selection with pick 1-10, but if anyone has interest, I will listen to offers for the pick or to slide down 1-4 spots. I will also entertain offers to trade pick 1-19 or slide down. I don't want to hold the draft up any longer than necessary though, so I would prefer concrete offers/discussions - any offers for these picks need to help me this year.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><b>What I think I need to compete if I make the playoffs</b> - 1 great SP, one good SP, 1 very good RP, a RF, a LF, and hitters of almost any position that can hit lefties.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><b>What I need to get through the regular season</b> - 4 SP, a RF, a LF, a utility OF, and maybe another RP.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><b><u>What I have to deal</u></b></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><b><u><br></u></b></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small">Picks as I mentioned above.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:"trebuchet ms",sans-serif;font-size:small"><div class="gmail_default">First Base - Not much depth here. I'll consider dealing BAL Davis, but only for or if I can find another first baseman. The story on Davis is the same as it has always been - great power, good OBP, but lots of K's to go along with it. I have some good power from other positions (better than last year), so I might be willing to look for a better hitter if I deal Davis. If that doesn't happen, I'll be in the market for a part timer that hits lefties well.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Other infield positions - DJ LeMahieu, Addison Russell, and Evan Longoria will man 2b, ss, and 3b, and are not likely to be dealt unless someone makes a really impressive offer (I got one last year and might still be in the playoffs if I had taken it). Justin Turner and Jurickson Profar will serve as backups and at DH, but I will consider dealing them.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Left Field and Right Field - Matt Szczur will play part time, and I can fill a few games with Desmond Jennings, Michael Brantley, and possibly Profar, but I definitely will need both a LF and a RF if I intend to make the playoffs.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Center Field - I'm fairly comfortable here with Odubel Herrera, but if someone has a CF available that hits lefties, I'm listening.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Starting Pitching - I'm comfortable with my top two in Lester and Cueto, and they promise to have pretty great cards. I have another third of a pitcher in Tyler Skaggs, but he'll only be good for about 10 games or so, and that's only if he doesn't get injured. I'm looking for #3, #4, and #5 starters or maybe even another ace.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">Relief Pitching - Jansen, Ken Giles, Tony Watson, Xavier Cedeno, and Ian Krol are great to very good top 5, and I have some depth, so I'm fine with my pen, but would consider adding one more really good righty. I also could deal some of my depth (Fernando Rodriguez, Jeremy Jeffress, Ian Krol, Travis Wood) if someone has need. They all have strengths and weaknesses.</div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default"><br></div><div class="gmail_default">I'll leave you with a picture of Doug at an O's game as a youngster.
