<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>The recently completed week shows that the Prairie Dogs' season is on track to be interesting.<br><br>Fans are growing restless at NYN Parnell's inability to hold leads. In game 1 at HAV, the Dogs led 8-2 after 6. By the ninth, the lead had shrunk to 8-5. Parnell was called on to close out what seemed an easy victory. He gave up 2 singles to start the inning, but then got STL Molina to fly to center and a Dunn whiff. It looked like he would preserve the game. Gattis laced an 0-2 fastball into left to score one run. Moss slammed the next pitch into the lf corner, scoring 2 more and tying the game. The Dogs went on to lose it 9-8 in the 11th inning on a Willingham sac fly.<br><br>In game 3 of the series, LAA Williams and CHA Santiago served up a healthy dose of Molotov cocktails, creating a 10-2 deficit after 5 innings. Needless to say, the stands emptied out soon afterward.<br><br>At home against NYK, SFP started the series with only 6 hits the first game en route to a 7-0 shellacking. In game 2, the teams traded the lead numerous times. The more loyal of the fans were treated to a 12-inning nailbiter that saw NYK eventually prevail 5-4 on Kelly Johnson's second homer of the game. His pinch-hit HR in the ninth created the tie that sent it into extra innings.<br><br>Overnight after the game, a large chunk of roofing material came loose from the inner surface of the dome, forcing a rare postponement. The damage was repaired, and the engineering firm of Seiling, Waal and Pitts has assured management that everything is in good shape for this week's series hosting SDQ.<br><br>We would claim SFP is snake-bit this year, but even the local rattlers are boycotting the stadium.<br><br>Larry<br>SFP<br> </div></body>
