NEWS

There were some impressive individual performances in this week's games.

In the NJR at PHI series, Matt Holliday powered NJR to a 12-5 victory with
three home runs.  Holliday also had a two home run game in NJR's home
series.  All five of his homers came out of the leadoff spot.  With 14
home runs on the season, he trails only Miguel Cabrera's 18.

Hunter Pence did Holliday one better by not only blasting three homers
in one game, but also mixing in two singles and a walk.  He finished
the monster day 5 for 5 with 5 runs and 8 RBI in CSG's 23-2 victory
over MOR.

And the performance of the week goes to Yu Darvish, who threw the season's
second no-hitter, blanking BAL 3-0.  He struck out 11 and walked 3,
finishing it off by getting Eric Hosmer to ground out softly to short.
Alex Cobb owns the other no-hitter, throwing one for SEA in week 5.

SCHEDULE

There is a makeup game this week, as BOW at WMS will play a doubleheader on
day 1 of their series to make up for a previous rainout.

In week 8, game three of KAT at WMS was rained out, so it has been rescheduled
as part of a doubleheader on day 1, week 24.

It might be time for WMS to consider building a roof.
