Yes, it’s only 70 PAs so far, and yes, it’s in Colorado.  Yet so far, Brandon Barnes is hitting .333/.400/.413.  Nor is it a matter of beating up on lefties (again, with the small sample caveat) — .346/.414/.346 vs. LHP, .306/.375/.444 vs. RHP.  It’s going to be difficult, although not impossible, particularly if we give up the (perhaps futile) hope to get back into the playoff race.  But if there is interest in him, I’d certainly be open to deal him.

And, just as a reminder, I am still interested in dealing at least one first baseman — preferably Adam LaRoche, who is now up to .317/.425/.525 on the season.  Mike Napoli is at .290/.411/.486.  Lucas Duda is at .271/.361/.447.
